Great WA Shakeout Drill

Cascadia College and UW Bothell are participating in the Great Washington Shakeout drill tomorrow, Thursday, October 21 at 10:21am. As a member of the campus community, what does this mean for you, and how can you prepare/participate?

Prepare for the Drill
• Sign up for campus-wide alerts
• Practice Drop, Cover and Hold on for one minute
• Follow Cascadia on social media: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter

On Campus During the Drill?
• The PA system will test at 10:21am and instruct you to drop, cover, and hold on, before giving you an all clear
• An alert message will take over your computer screen
• If you are enrolled, you will receive an emergency alert via text message or email

Working Off Campus or Remote Class During the Drill?
• Practice drop, cover, and hold on for one minute at 10:21am
• If you are connected to the server, or using a Cascadia laptop, an alert message will take over your computer screen
• If you are enrolled, you will receive an emergency alert via text message or email
